How to Edit Your Site Header

Your site header is one of the first things visitors will notice when they visit your WordPress site/portfolio. Changing your header is a great way to personalize your website. Whether you want to add an image or logo, change the color, or update your navigation menu, WordPress gives you flexible tools to make that happen.

Getting the arrangement of a header exactly right can be a little tricky in WordPress.

Advanced customization

Through the Site Editor, you can fine-tune any premade header pattern. You can rearrange, resize, or restyle these elements to fit your needs. You can change the background color, add social media icons, adjust font size and spacing, etc.

Pro tip: If you want to create a completely custom header is to pick a pattern that is close to what you are trying to achieve, and then modify that existing pattern instead of starting from blank.
